FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

An  example of a situation where the unique properties of this vise will become evident is  when a part needs to have a form machined through. Due to the clearance pocket in the bottom  this can be accomplished.   This is possible due to the fact that  the part is resting on a solid bottom surface making it is possible to machine the form using a larger offset, (thus making the form smaller) and removing it for dimensional inspection.  It can then be returned to the vise maintaining it's prior location, appropriate programming changes made to the machining location,  then wire cut to finished size.
